Camp Shower
Are you looking for a camp shower? The one thing that puts people off camping most often is the lack of facilities. However, with a portable shower and some solid planning camping can even be luxurious. Camping can be made so much better by using a very cheap piece of equipment, the camping shower. These range in price and functionality, but you can pick a cheap one up for under 50 dollars. From there, all you need to do is find some fresh water to warm up, and you can have a decent shower.
The portable camp shower is a simple yet wonderful invention that allows you to take showers just about anywhere. It consists of a shower bag, filled with water, which can be hung on a tree and a nozzle that acts like a shower with some sort of flow control. In most models, the water is heated up by the sun. Some people still prefer using a combination of camping shower and shower tent even on campgrounds with showers available because there is usually no privacy when bathing in public camps.
The problem with the units is that they hold a limited amount of water so you have to bathe quickly. Most bags can hold 5 gallons of water but some hold as little as 2.5 gallons. A battery powered camping shower is highly recommended for families because it allows for multiple users without having to wait too long for the water to heat up.
You can also get portable showers which rely on the sun to heat the water up. This effectively is free energy, which is good when you are camping. Above all though, getting a camp shower is one of the best things that you can do. You need a small pump, the shower rose and warm water and you will have a good bath. You can pick up the tents for under 50 dollars too, so for under a hundred dollars you are well on the way to having a much cleaner and more enjoyable camping trip.
Many portable tents that can be bought these days are not only built for showering but also as a toilet enclosure and for changing clothes in complete privacy. Many enclosures can be erected quickly and are made of top quality materials to withstand all types of weather conditions. Water used for showering after a long day walking in the summer sun can be heated in 2 to 5 gallon solar bags made of quality materials controlled by a water temperature gauge.
A solar camp shower makes much more sense as these can weigh around one pound. The downside is that having hot water with these types of units is entirely dependent on the sun, with too little or no sun resulting in a cold water, and too much leading to water that’s scalding hot. Of course, in warmer weather, cold water alone will be fine.
